The Tree Project began as an attempt to better understand how increasingly intelligent systems are changing human development. As the work has grown, many of its conceptual frameworks have also become starting points for empirical investigation.

The conceptual frameworks (Ongoing) presented throughout this site are intended as working theoretical frameworks rather than finished academic theories. They are designed not only to describe emerging phenomena, but also to generate research questions, operational definitions, measurement approaches, and testable hypotheses that can be refined through empirical investigation.

Many of the concepts introduced here including the Industrialization of Identity, Orientational Parentality, Cognitive Sovereignty, language signals, interaction benchmarks, and developmental measures of agency—are being further developed into research frameworks suitable for empirical study.

This section will gradually expand to include research proposals, conceptual models, measurement frameworks, benchmark designs, operational definitions, and future collaborations.

The goal is not simply to describe the changing relationship between human beings and increasingly intelligent systems.

It is to make that relationship increasingly observable, measurable, and scientifically investigable.
