The Industrialization of Identity is an attempt to describe a structural change in the conditions under which human identity increasingly forms over time.
The overview essay introduces the framework as a whole. The six mechanism essays examine each component individually. Although they are presented as a coherent architecture, each essay is intended to stand on its own and may be read independently, although the ordering of the mechanisms themselves are sequential.
These essays are offered as working theoretical frameworks rather than finished academic theories. They represent the beginning of an ongoing research program exploring identity formation, recursive technological environments, and the conditions necessary for human authorship in the age of intelligent systems.
